ARTIST BIO

After 25 years of wrangling words into submission, my life threw me a curveball—a sudden, permanent disability that turned everything upside down.

At first, I didn’t exactly dive headfirst into change. (More like a cautious toe-dip.) But curiosity and sheer stubbornness led me to something unexpected: abstract painting. Turns out, bold colors and dramatic brushstrokes are a pretty great way to say what words can’t.

These days, I create small, vibrant pieces designed to sneak right into your life—whether that’s brightening a corner of your living room or sparking a little joy on your wall. My art is all about emotions and imagination, wrapped up in a size that fits wherever you need it.

True to form, I’m always juggling multiple projects. It’s just who I am—a multipassionate creator who can’t stick to one thing for too long. (You can blame the “Leonardo Trait,” a phrase I came up with in 2006 to describe people like me who are endlessly curious, creative, and driven by a million ideas at once.)

For me, painting isn’t just a career pivot—it’s a lifeline. It’s my way of exploring a world beyond words, beyond limitations, and into something freer. Every piece I create is part of that journey, and I hope it inspires you to explore, transform, and rediscover your own story too.

So, here I am, Angie Dixon: artist, multipassionate creator, and forever on a mission to turn life into art. Let’s see what we can create together.
